We're so much more than just good books at the Medicine Hat Public Library. Use our community space as a place to meet friends and colleagues, use your library card to borrow books, movies, music, video games, and to access our online content like eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, online learning courses, language learning classes, study help for children, and much more! Library cards are just $5/year for adults and free for children under age 18. Consider providing a value-added benefit to your employees by sponsoring their library cards! MHPL also has a variety of programs for people of all ages. Bring your child to one of our storytimes, send your teenager to teen night, get help with your tablet or eReader, watch a movie in our theatre or come and learn something new during one of our presentations/seminars. Visit our website and click on the 'Learn & Explore' tab to see what programs are happening now. 

If you'd like to host your own program or business meeting at the Library, rent one of our meeting rooms. We have two traditional meeting rooms, a theatre with a fixed seat capacity of 152, and a training room with 9 computers. Find the rental rates on our website under the 'Services' tab.
