Position Title: Y Treasure Thrift Store Dock/Warehouse Supervisor

Pay Grid: $18.60/hr

Department: Y Treasure

Hours: Part time 0-35hrs

What qualifications are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have the following:

Education/Certifications/Credentials/Professional Registration

•    Standard First Aid, CPR-Level C, Clear drivers abstract

•    Evidence of a clear Police Information Check (with Vulnerable Sector Search if applicable), within the last six months  

•    Clear Drivers Abstract

Knowledge & Skills

•    Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships throughout the community

•    Previous experience working in a thrift store is an asset

•    Ability to meet targets by established deadlines

•    Previous experience with donor stewardship is an asset

•    Ability to meet targets by established deadlines

•    Must have a valid driver’s license with a class 07 automobile insurance coverage business use (or pleasure with occasional business use) and a minimum of $2,000,000 in liability coverage 

What does this role look like at the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta? 

Reporting to the Y Treasure Thrift Store Manager, the Y Treasure Thrift Store Dock/Warehouse supervisor is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations and directly overseeing the employees and volunteers who work on the receiving dock and warehouse. Coordinating and managing all donated merchandise made to the store. This includes working with the Thrift store manager in planning and executing donation campaigns, designing donation drop-off procedures, overseeing donation storage, and coordinating recycling/disposal of unsaleable items. This position is anticipated to have future responsibility for driving a van/truck to pick up donations within the community.
