Position Title: Early Years Child Care Site Manager

Reports To: GM of Child Care

Pay Grid: $25.00/hr

Department: Child Care

Hours: 40hrs   


Must have a Level 2 or 3 to apply.

What qualifications are we looking for?

At the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta, we strive to ensure our employees are a good fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals.

The successful candidate will have the following:


Education/Certifications/Credentials/Professional Registration

    Post-secondary education in CYC, ECE, SLWK, Education or in a related field

    Child Care Certification Level 2 or 3 required

    Standard Child Care First Aid, CPR-Level C

    Minimum 2 years of work experience in a management role in an organization of similar size and complexity preferred

    Evidence of a clear Police Information Check (with Vulnerable Sector Search if applicable), within the last six months

    Must have a valid driver’s license with a class 07 automobile insurance coverage business use (or pleasure with occasional business use) and a minimum of $2,000,000 in liability coverage

 

Knowledge & Skills

    Experience in human resource functions (recruitment, hiring, progressive coaching, termination, etc.)

    Experience working in a child care environment with children ages 0 – 5

    Ability to fluently use the entire MS Office suite

    Ability to act professionally in all situations, representing the YMCA according to its core values

    Able to deal with difficult situations and complaints with confidence

    Excellent customer service, organization, and time management skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to manage multiple staff and various locations within the community

    Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

    Solid working knowledge of Alberta Child Care Act and Regulations

    Self-motivated with the ability to direct personal performance to achieve desired results


What does this role look like at the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta?

Reporting to the GM of Child Care, the Early Years Child Care Site Manager is responsible for managing the successful day-to-day operations of the YMCA’s John Millar and Crescent Heights

Child Development Centres.
