Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, otherwise known as OHS, is the governing body designed to keep the workplace safe and workers healthy.  Businesses in Alberta that have employees are required to follow OHS laws and regulations.  Occupational health and safety serves 2 important purposes: to educate and to enforce.  They will educate on the OHS Act, Regulations, and Code.  They also have the responsibility to enforce non-compliance.
